What's Included In Our Website Services

When you order something on the menu, you probably want to know what’s in it! We feel the same. So here you can see exactly what you get for each of our packaged services.

First, let’s go over exactly what platform we are working with and why.

We have chosen to build our client sites on the latest versions of WordPress & WooCommerce. When it comes to website and e-commerce development, everyone is an “expert” and everyone has an “opinion”. We have chosen these platforms for a simple reason, the huge user base and support for the product(s). Whether or not you continue to use us for ongoing service after a site build, because we use industry standard tools so it is easy and not prohibitively expensive to find ongoing support. Other e-commerce systems and content management systems can be incredibly expensive and daunting to setup and manage.

In addition to our choice of platform, we use industry standard and highly rated applications to add functionality and improve performance. These applications & plugins include SEO, Caching, Management tools, etc.

What Our Brand Websites Include

Our Brand Websites also known as Brand Identity Sites are a perfect way to display your products, company, mission statement, galleries and social media among other things. Additionally, Brand Websites allow you to collect customer emails, contacts, and give a clear path to promoting your products and services outside of more restrictive marketplaces. Finally, these sites give you the ability to blog about your products, inspirations, news, and engage with the world (and your customers!)

That’s nice, right?

BUT! What’s actually included and how does it work?

First and foremost, you are delivered a complete website based on communication with you as the client. We listen to what your goals are and what you are hoping to gain out of having a Brand Website. Usually we accomplish this through questionnaires, email correspondence, and often a 30 minute or so phone call to go over details.

After our conversations, we research any existing online presence you may have on Etsy, Amazon, eBay, etc – we will begin your project!

Our Brand Websites come with 5 content pages. You  may be asking “what exactly is a content page?”. A content page is any portion of your website that we are required to build specifically with your brand likeness, look and feel and with specific input from you on design elements. They are also pages that contain specific features that require “building”. Here is a comprehensive list of what constitutes “pages” in a Brand / Identity website :

  • Home Page
  • Gallery Page
  • Your Biography
  • About Us / Mission Statement Page
  • Blog Home Page
  • Data Collection Page / Forms (i.e subscription pages)
  • Dedicated Page for Social Media
  • FAQ Pages
  • Privacy Policy Page

Most websites, for all practical purposes, are fully functional with 5 content pages. Of course if your brand or product requires more than 5 pages, this is possible by quoting a specific project.

A question that we receive often is whether or not a Blog is included and does it count as only one page since a Blog is usually made of many pages.

The inclusion of a Blog is only considered one page because the rest of the pages within the blog are user generated (you write the content). You are responsible for creating the additional pages within the blog (which is easy, so don’t worry!).

Additionally, a single page can contain multiple elements! SO don’t think of your site as being limited by only 5 pages. For example you can have an Instagram feed on your Bio or Gallery page. There is no reason to have a specific page just for an instagram feed. Furthermore, elements like subscription forms are usually included on every page thereby not requiring a specific page.

So it’s easy to see how a well thought out website representing your brand can be accomplished efficiently within 5 pages.

As for elements that are available to use with Brand Websites / Brand Identity Sites, they include (but not necessarily limited to):

  • Photo Galleries
  • Bio Templates with Social Media
  • Maps
  • Forms
  • FAQs
  • Instagram / Social Media Feeds
  • Blog
  • Live Chat (if the client has a compatible live chat app)
  • Mailing List (i.e. MailChimp) Integration

It’s good to know that if you choose to start with a Brand Website, you can upgrade to a Brand + Shops at any time!

Below we talk about HOW we do each project.

What Our Hosting Services Include

We offer hosting to our design clients which can be extremely beneficial to a website owner who needs some level of ongoing service. When you host your website with our company, we provide excellent performance as well as updates, security patches and maintain the latest versions of all apps and plugins.

You are NOT required to use our service! We believe in the freedom of choice! But please know that if you choose to take the developed site and host with another provider we will be unable to provide any future support. This is due to the fact that every hosting provider, while similar, is slightly unique on what they offer and how it can impact a website. Because we are not familiar with every hosting company, we cannot support our site builds on other providers.

If you choose to use our services, they include everything you’d expect in a provider and more. Below is a list of what you get with your hosting fee.
